“I attended Brooke’s session Eat with Grace. It was great hearing what the Bible says about living healthy. There are three things that stood out to me:
- The verse regarding the Fruits of the Spirit which are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and SELF CONTROL. Self-control with food is a tough one for me and I’m now more aware of it.
- The Bible advises against laziness and how to become a Proverbs 31 woman: ‘Our bodies are designed to be active. Be intentional about your movement.’ For the past 3 years I have started running, but over the winters I tend to quit, gain weight and when spring/summer comes along I have to start all over. I have decided to keep moving over winter and avoid being lazy!
- My favorite tip from Brooke is ‘Eat 90% of the time for health, and allow 10% for pleasure.’ Since her session, when I start planning a meal I remember ‘eat 90% for health’ and I choose to make a healthy meal.”

“Recently, I attended a breakout session led by Brooke Fredrickson called Eat With Grace. Brooke brought a fresh and Christ-centered focus on how we view dieting, our bodies, and the food we consume in today’s society. I was greatly encouraged by the verses she highlighted from the Bible that speaks on these very topics. I walked away with a sense of reassurance in the way God views these issues and felt empowered as a woman, a mom, and wife. May it be that our body image would be in feeling good, not the way we look. And I believe Brooke is on the front line of catching the attention of women of all sizes and ages in standing strong on that belief and not on the message the world is conveying to us.”

“Thank you so much for your workshop. God spoke volumes to me through it, especially the part about ditching the scale for the freedom God desires us to have in accepting the body He has chosen for us and maintaining a natural healthy weight through normal eating and exercise – nothing in excess!!
